Training and Events
Housing Options runs a national programme of training and events. The focus
of all of our training is to ensure that people with learning disabilities
achieve greater choice and control of their housing and support. Our training
covers various topics with some aimed at social services, housing providers
and care agencies to work with people to increase the range of housing and
support choices. We also run courses that are suitable for people with learning
disabilities, families and advocates.
We actively support the rights of people with learning disabilities to live
an ordinary life and make the same choices about where and how they live as
everyone else. We aim to increase knowledge about the range of housing and
support options available and ensure that people with learning disabilities,
their families, housing and support providers and councils have the information
they need to make good housing and support options happen for people with
learning disabilities.
Our training and events are great value with reductions for Housing
