Susan and Sophie rent from a housing association

Susan and Sophie live in supported housing. They rent from a housing association and they also get support from the housing association. They share with one other person.


Susan and Sophie used to live together in a large hostel


Susan and Sophie have been friends for a long time and used to live together in a large hostel. Sophie wanted to move somewhere quieter but Susan wasn’t sure about moving, she like the staff where she was. Social services helped them to find somewhere to live together.


Susan and Sophie do the housework themselves


Susan and Sophie get help with being independent and doing things like cooking and paying the bills.
They have both now learned to do the housework themselves and do not need help anymore.
Susan and Sophie have staff to support them in the evenings and on weekends.
They do not need to have staff sleeping in anymore.


Susan and Sophie have more money now


Susan and Sophie have more money now they live in their own home. They both enjoy being independent.
